Math 3A

Class title: Math 3A

Monday, 4:00-4:45pm

Mr. D. Ovetsky

From David:

"Math is an excellent subject – it is consistently interesting, it encourages us to parameterize and understand the world, and it is the basis of Science and Engineering. It does not matter who you want to be, developing good problem solving practices and solid reasoning skills will always serve you well and allow you to stand apart from the crowd.”

David Ovetsky is one of our SchoolPlus alumni. David took Math classes with Ms. Mary from his earliest school days, all the way through Advanced Placement classes like Pre-calculus and Calculus.

David took the most advanced Math track in his High School, and he scored a perfect 800 on the SAT Math II and a 5 on the AP Calculus exam.

Along the way, David participated in many Math contests - MOEMS (gold pin), Math Kangaroo, AMC 8/10, obtaining top scores in all of them.

For the last 2 years, he had been substituting for Math teachers for Algebra 1 and 2 classes. He also teaches Math for younger children. - needed to be fixed of consistent time.

Through these years he also learned from his teachers: he is very interested in teaching, willing to continue to teach young and "old" children, very gentile and attentive with children.
SchoolPlus is proud that our student became our teacher!

David now is a college student at Cornell University, majoring in Applied and Engineering Physics.
